This is the showcase for artifacts from the local archaeological sites. There are also various displays including rocks and fossils, whalebones, an exhibit about Captain Cook and a vintage schoolroom. The centre is open from May 15 to October 15. Group rates are available.

Bird Cove Archaeological Dig
The remains of prehistoric Beothuk and Palaeoeskimo sites, are the focus of this archaeological dig. The site is open from May to September 30 and close to other archaeological sites and natural attractions.
