During the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries, Battle Harbour was the social and economic centre of the southeastern Labrador coast. Visitors to this small island will witness carefully restored historic buildings, work areas and walkways, as well as a collection of artifacts from the fishing industry and everyday life. Visitors can stay overnight in one of six heritage homes. Battle Harbour is open to the public from June to September. Tours are available. Ferries leave from Mary's Harbour to Battle Island twice daily.
